Roza Güneş Bayrak
Watercolor and Printmaking Artist
I am both a visual artist and a computational scientist. Born and raised in Turkey, I moved to the United States in 2012 to pursue higher education. As a scientist, I study the structure within noise, uncovering patterns in signal, and searching for meaning in complexity. As a watercolor artist, I explore those same questions through color, shape, and gesture. I am drawn to impressionism touched by realism, seeking vibrant, coherent, and harmonious color. I want the work to feel alive, organized, and in motion. For me, painting is a space where I create my own world, a visual language that allows exploration of what cannot always be spoken—a way to hold detail and ambiguity within the same space.
My work has been shown in juried exhibitions including the TnWS Biennial 2026 at the Customs House Museum, Clarksville, TN.
